| Description: | The Florence Winter Folk Festival will be held on January 23-24, 2010. It is two days of music, arts, crafts, pie contest, demonstrations and concert performances held at the Florence Events Center. The proceeds of the festival go towards enhancing the music program in the local schools, providing free concerts to students, and to supporting our community Event Center. Last year over 2,000 people attended the festival and we expect even more this year. We are pleased to present NW favorites Misty River as our headliner on Saturday January 23rd at 7:00 pm. As our headliner on Sunday, January 24, at 3:00pm, The Brothers Four return to the FEC after their sold-out performance in 2007. The 2010 Winter Folk Festival is fortunate to have booked some of the top professional entertainers from across the US to play during the day on January 23 and 24. We continue to have all of the musical performances in the auditorium, so there will be plenty of seating for all. Juried performers this year are Igor Glenn, Shanghaied On The Willamette, The Urban Monroes, Hank Cramer, Gumbo, William Florian, Whistlin Rufus and Kate Power & Steve Einhorn. | |
