Hortlandia 2016 offers a very special tribute to the horticultural world -- the second annual Hortlandia Quilt Challenge. For this competition, we are inviting quilters from all over the Northwest to submit original quilt designs centered on the theme: In the Northwest Garden.

Quilters may explore everything from traditional floral quilt patterns to cutting edge contemporary design ideas. Bring your love of gardening and your passion for quilting together and create something really special. All the quilts will be on view throughout Hortlandia weekend, April 9th & 10th, at Portland Expo Center. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite. Winning quilts will be announced at noon on Sunday, April 10th. Winners will receive cash prizes, or you may choose a HPSO gift certificate so that you can splurge a little more at Hortlandia!
