Description:

From Sisters Folk Festival Website:

The Sisters Folk Festival is a three-day celebration of roots music from blues to bluegrass.

The Festival happens the weekend following Labor Day every year.

Many greats have graced the stage since the initial Festival in 1995, including Ian Tyson, Tim OBrien, Jesse Winchester, Natalie MacMaster, Chris Smither, Dave Carter, The Waybacks, John Gorka, Ruthie Foster, The Waifs, The Wailin' Jennys and more.

The Festival is held every year in September, the weekend after Labor Day, in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. The Festival is home to ten stages, including an 900-seat venue at the Village Green Park in downtown Sisters, and 1,100 seats at Sisters Art Works.

Sisters is located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range and the Three Sisters Wilderness Area, the community of Sisters is a wonderful place to live and visit. Outdoor recreational opportunities in and around Sisters are endless, with mountains, rivers and lakes at your back door. Bike or ride horseback on the many beautiful mountain trails, or golf at any number of first-rate courses. Gift, home & garden, clothing and antique shops abound for the shopper in your group, or just relax and enjoy the clean air and incredible mountain views. There is truly something for everyone in Sisters.

Parking (including handicap-accessible parking) is available near all the venues. Oh, and by the way, parking is still free in Sisters (though some areas are now back-in diagonal parking only). If you need additional help, stop by the Information Booth or Check In tent at Village Green for assistance. Seating in all venues is provided. There is no need to bring your own chairs.

During the festival food & drink are available at the Village Green and Sisters Art Works, as well as most of our other venues. Festival goers are welcome to bring their food (either purchased from one of our food vendors or from home) into the venue. Beer and wine must remain in designated areas. There are also many great restaurants along the walking routes between stages.
